Training: Kurt was born in South Africa and grew up in Australia where he trained in dramatic arts (Monash University) and Music (The Melba Conservatorium).

Theatre includes: in Australia, Judas in Godspell, Jimmy in The Grand Hotel, Tim in Only Heaven Knows, Show Boat directed by Hal Prince, Rent directed by Michael Grief, Naked Boys Singing, I Do in Caroline Springs Leroy in Hair, and The Lion King. In London: Simba and Banzai in The Lion King, Rock Around the Clock, The 12 Tenors, Berger in Hair (European Tour), Coalhouse in Ragtime (Landor), Tom Snout in A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Matthew Dunster (Regent’s Park), Ragtime directed by Timothy Sheader (Regent’s Park), Munitza and Koloday in The Love Girl and The Innocent directed by Matthew Dunster (Southwark Playhouse), Jackie in Sweet Bird of Youth directed by Marianne Elliot (The Old Vic), Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (The Criterion)

Television includes: Miranda (series 2), The Royal Variety Show (2008 and 2014), The Olivier Awards (2015).

Recordings include: Uncas in The Last of the Mohicans (concept album); Schultz in Miss Saigon (live 2014 recording).

Other work includes: musical director, arranger and composer, singer and pianist in The Songs I’ll Never Sing with Oliver Lidert and Rachel John (West End Cabaret Company, St. James Theatre).
