Laurence began his career as an actor, when he took on the role of Action in the Cambridge Festival production of West Side Story which went onto a national tour. Some of his other acting credits include Rhapsody in Blue ... A Hue of Gershwin at the Fortune Theatre, Italian Idol at the Oxford Old Fire Station, Aladdin and Mother Goose both at the Oxford Playhouse Theatre, The Secret Garden tour, The Best Of Broadway European tour, A Kid For Two Farthings at the Bridewell Theatre, Hansel And Gretel at The Riverside Theatre, Coleraine and the role of Bill Snibson in Me And My Girl, Aberystwyth Arts Centre. After performing in the national tour of Les Miserables, Laurence went on to assist the Resident Director before directing A Slice Of Saturday Night at the Empire Theatre, Liverpool. Recent Projects include Resident Director on the London and touring production of The King and I and Associate Director on The Phantom Of The Opera in London.
