Miriam was only two when she showed a talent in singing. After being formally trained at the Saigon School in Manila, she became part of the Music Of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg in Concert held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. She then did a series of excerpts from musicals such as Man From La Mancha, The King And I and Once On this Island.
Miriam would later join the original cast of Miss Saigon in Sydney where she played the role of Kim. From there she also joined the London, Manila and Asian Tour productions where she understudied the same role. A year later, she reprised the role in the second year of the production’s National Tour.
Back home in Manila for a short break, she and some of her fellow Miss Saigon cast members, staged a series of shows showing off acoustic Broadway songs. Yet again, it is with great pleasure and challenge that Miriam comes back on stage with her portrayal of Kim.
