Gerald Padua Santos was born in Navotas City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Theatre includes: Sino Ka Ba, Jose Rizal, a story about the national hero of the Philippines, produced by Gantimpala Theater Foundation; and a national tour of San Pedro Calungsod - the Musical by Redlife Entertainment Productions.
Television includes: at the age of 15, Gerald joined the biggest reality singing contest in the Philippines, Pinoy Pop Superstar. Gerald defeated the seven-week champion and went on to win the title Pinoy Pop Superstar. He was the competition’s youngest ever champion.
Recordings include: following his win on Pinoy Pop Superstar, Gerald has recorded five studio albums, which have produced a number of hit songs. His heartfelt rendition of the songs have earned him the moniker ‘the Prince of Ballad’.
Other work includes: six major sold-out concerts (nominated for five consecutive years, and winning Best Male Concert Performer three times, in the prestigious Aliw Awards); the movie Memory Channel, part of the third World Premieres Film Festival, held in Manila; and recently played Emilio Jacinto in a docu-film, yet to be released.
